Juniors.

Our Juniors Program allows boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 18 years old to participate in learning the basics of firefighting and emergency medical care. Currently there are approximately 20 members in the program, who attend two training sessions and one meeting per month.

With two years of membership in the Program, a Junior may join the Fire Department one year early, at age 17, allowing him or her to start the required state and county training classes to become a Firefighter or EMT. Plus as a department member, they would also be eligible to apply for college tuition assistance programs provided for Firefighters and EMT’s.

For more information, call the department at 499-8836 Ext. 1 and leave your name and phone number with the dispatcher. The Juniors Program advisor will contact you.
